The Homeschooling Education Blogger

While I will not be blogging in Education regularly, I will be filling in a little here and there. Since I also blog in Homeschooling, I felt the need to explain what on earth I could be doing in the Education section. Speech Development

Our second foster placement was a toddler. She didn’t talk much when she arrived at 21-months old. I was very concerned for her because I was used to toddlers who were vociferous. After four months living with us and working with ECI, she was much more verbal and had added a lot of words. I was concerned about Jessie’s language development early, but ECI wouldn’t work with her until she was two. School Supply Savings

It’s almost that time of year again, our children will be wandering the halls of school, sporting new clothing and the prestigious new backpack. But school supplies can get expensive if you don’t plan ahead. I was just at Wal-mart the other day, and they already have their school supply section in full swing. Of course, part of that is because in our area, we have year round school and it starts July 20! With five children in school this year, it’s important that we cut costs where we can.
